A new opportunity means a fresh start and all the wonderful possibilities the new beginnings bring. Mr. Ashok sabji Bagwe born in a small village in Massora, Malwan started a small ganpati sculpting business just out of interest and love for the idol Ganesha. In his early childhood days, Ashok would stay in Mumbai where ganpati idols were made. Ganesh Chaturthi being a big festival in Mumbai, has its own charm that attracts a lot of youngsters and Ashok was one of them. He became increasingly interested in sculpting the idol and taking it up as a full profession.
After his higher education, he moved to lalbaug in Mumbai for a job at the Indian Post Office. While staying in the locality he came across the ganpati studio of Shri Ravji Bhau Ghadigavkar and once again he was attracted towards the art. Exposure with various disciplines broadened his horizons and made him realize that he wanted to be an artist as much as an artisan. Everyday after work he made a point to work at the studio and learn the art. He was associated with them for almost 4 years and learned various techniques for clay modeling, colouring and design. And thereafter he went on to work with various artists and gained an experience of more than 20 years in this field.
And The Journey Begins……
After 20 years of experience, Ashok decided to give it a fresh start and that gave birth to Trimurti Ganesh Arts from a small place in chinchpokli, Mumbai. Ashok was now in a happy zone and continued to craft best ganesh idols and bring smiles to peoples faces on every ganesh festivity. But as said every artist has to go through the life’s up and downs and same was faced by him. He and his family had to leave the place and move to new surrounding in the suburbs of mumbai that meant starting all over again. Ashok and his family shifted to Goregaon, and began work from home and a small room in neighbourhood with a new identity ” Shree Mauli Ganesh chitra Shaala”. It is said art and artist can never fade neither can hide in a crowd and once again Ashok was bringing smiles and joy to people faces with his Ganesh Murtis.
Even in the absence of sound, there is an inclination towards the flow and quietude of lyricism. With the passing days Ashok is now being accompanined by his 2 sons who are taking the legacy ahead. Now the workshop is shifted to an independent place and turned into a studio that houses differnt kinds of eco-friendly Ganesh idols and beautifying idols that will light up your house, workstation, etc.
Shree Mauli Ganesh chitra Shaala once again vouches on providing the best of contemporary and modern art works to its audience and collectors/buyers at the most convenient and affordable price.
